As a lover of home decorating, entertaining and cooking I have a curiosity for the way common household items create inspiring scenes in the places where I live. These vignettes speak to me through unique color, zest, an occasional quirky twist married with a hint of realism! 

As a youngster, my father, who was an amateur artist, encouraged my creative side. But, in a moment of rationale decision making I decided to study business in college because it was the safe thing to do. Fate would bring me back to the arts as my first job after graduation was a marketing role for a company that developed high end computer systems for digital retouching. My interest in art would lead to a position as a demonstration artist for the Quantel Paintbox system and then subsequently to more than 25 years as a high-end digital retoucher in the highly competitive NYC advertising industry. 

My career required working daily in meticulous detail and I use these skills as part of the tool box for my art. I was also fortunate to work with many gifted creative directors, photographers and artists so I did my best to absorb lessons from them. Additionally, over the years I have taken a number of college-level art classes and clinics to develop and grow my technical painting skills. 

With my fast-paced retouching career behind me I am able to get back to painting which is what I enjoyed as a young artist. After a career working in fine, up-close detail I’m working hart to paint in a more relaxed style. My works are primarily in acrylics and watercolor, and I occasionally experiment with creating art using watercolor inks. 

In addition to my artistic journey, I share my life with my husband of over three decades and my grown twin sons in Bedminster, NJ where in addition to painting I am a gym rat, an outdoor enthusiast, a golfer and a volunteer for military veterans events at our local VA Hospital.
